Just a thought :)

It's (comparatively, at least) easy to serve God in the big, grand, exciting ways--those times when you go out and change the world; curing cancer or creating world peace or bringing a stop to global warming.
But it's in the daily nitty-gritty when we prove our faithfulness. By choosing to get up early every morning to have our quiet time. By serving in the small, frequently unnoticed and unappreciated ways--washing dishes, cleaning the house, making meals, spending time with siblings, doing school...whatever you're called to in your present stage of life.
Those seemingly unimportant little things can be so hard to keep doing....when the house is a wreck, or your siblings just won't get along. When school is really difficult or just plain boring. Or when you're just really tired and you don't feel like vacuuming the floor or folding the laundry.
But a lot of us probably won't ever go out and change the world in any big, flashy way. A lot of us lead pretty ordinary lives.

At this point, I don't think anyone is reading this. But if anyone ever does, I just want to encourage you: keep on keeping on. Press on to take hold of that for which Christ took hold of you. When you're faithful, He is faithful to bless that. :)

For His glory,

Leah

  1. No kidding, though sometimes it seems like such a drag! Thanks for the reminder; I forget that ALL THE TIME.

  2. Yes, and it's so easy to forget how important it is...to think it's just everyday life and it doesn't really make any difference. Well, you're welcome--I needed to remind myself of it! :)
